Art and I started at CCH about the same time. We both began working in the labor law department and became good friends. We both worked at CCH for 33 years. It was easy to like Art because of his kind nature and our many shared interests Over the years, we shared many coffee and lunch breaks, and frequent lunch hour walks. He was a great golfer, Cub fan, and human being and it was clear to all that he was also a wonderful husband and dad. He spoke of his family often with love and pride. Learning of Art's passing was a terrible shock. My sincere condolences to his family.

Our sincere condolences to "Arties" family. I had the honor to play golf with him several times over the years at Sunset Valley. He was great, and I was not so great, but with his way, he made me a better golfer when we were on the same team.
I also worked with John Huling Jr. at a small printing company from 1955 -1957. John Jr. was the son of one of the top executives at CCH. When I played with Artie, we never discussed our early days.
Also, my mother, Hannah was a Weinstein. Artie and I could never figure out if and how we may have been related.
Very sad times.
Again, our sincerest condolences.

I came to CCH in 1989 fresh off washing out as a practicing attorney and anxious to find a different, better way. Art took me under his wing right from the start. As much as I learned from him about my professional life, the most important thing Art taught me was how to treat others, with kindness and respect. My sincerest condolences to the family. Here's hoping he's hitting them straight somewhere!

Art was a sweet man and a generous soul. He was always one of my favorites at CCH, especially because he was so considerate and kind to my (occasionally difficult) wife at the time. I'm sure he will rest in peace.

Art was a great boss. He was passionate about his work, his family, his golf game. The passion was infectious and made going to work something to look forward to.

I learned of Art's passing today and I am so sad. He was my boss, my mentor, and my friend. He was a man of integrity who I always admired and respected. His love for and pride in his children were evident to anyone who talked to him for five seconds-- even when they were all teenagers. And the great love he had for his Sweetie Pie is legendary and truly an inspiration. My deepest sympathy to his beloved family. LaVerne Dellinger

Art and I were room mates at the University of Illinois. We have been dear friends for the past 65 years. Art leaves a wonderful legacy for Elaine, his children, and grandchildren. He was one of the most honest, kindest, and sincerest men that I have every met.
His absence leaves a great void in my life.

I was so sorry to hear of Art's death. He was a wonderful, funny, and kind person whom I enjoyed working with at CCH--he as an analyst and me as a proofreader. He always had a smile, even when he was irritated with the daily grind. I miss several people with whom I worked, and Art was one who was at the top of my list. God speed, Art.--Emilie Miller

sorry to hear of Art's passing. Both my wife and I worked with him at CCH for many years. My wife worked with him for Mr. Hodel and I worked in Tax Law. We both enjoyed knowing him and working with him.

Dear Elaine and family -- I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Chantilly "family" will always remember your daily walks with your pooch and
the opportunity to stop and chat with both of you. For those of us who are golfers, Artie's book of golf wisdom will always remind US of the special friend we have lost. The thoughts and prayers of the Chantilly community are with you.

David and Erin,
I am so sorry to hear this news. Your dad was a wonderful man from the times we spent together on the "campaign trail" and I know he will be missed. I hope that his memories will soon make your family smile and laugh again as you feel his love in your hearts always. xoxo lisabeth
