He is survived by his son, Keith, daughter-in-law Kathryn, grandchildren Elena and Jenna; his two sisters Janet Breunig and Elinor Bader; and countless nieces and nephews. August was predeceased by his sisters Betty Ekstrom, Margurite Strahl, Charlene Beringer and brother Robert Thomas. Funeral services will be privately held with a memorial at a later date.
