Barbara Anne Corcoran, nee Barkulis. Beloved wife of Thomas E. Corcoran. Loving mother of Peter (Jane) and James (Kayla) Corcoran. Sweet Yia Yia of Thomas, John and Michael Corcoran. Devoted daughter of the late Peter and Adrienne Anne Barkulis. Loving sister of Dar McIntyre, James Barkulis, Nicholas Barkulis, Nancy Barkulis-Gianaras and the late Chris Peter Barkulis. Loving aunt and Nouna of many nephews and nieces. A devoted wife, mother, sister and Yia Yia who always put God and family first. A dedicated steward of Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church and a beloved former educator of 36 years. A woman of outstanding moral character whose service will honor the way she lived in church with family. Kindly omit flowers. The family requests that contributions be made in Barbara's memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Rd., Glenview IL 60025. Private service at Sts. My deepest condolences to the Corcoran and Barkulis Family. Barbara was my dearest friend from Walsh School. She will always be in my heart, and I will cherish the beautiful memories of working with her for 35 years. Love you, and eternal rest .

Dear Tom, Peter, and James,

Barbara´s retired colleagues from the Walsh School join me in extending to you our sincerest condolences on the loss of your wife and mother.

I remember Barbara as an excellent teacher and a most professional colleague. It was always a pleasure to work with her. Somehow her students always seemed a "little happier" than those from other classrooms.

I regret that her dear grandchildren will no longer benefit from her love, care, and guidance - they were so very special to her.
