Barbara Lundergan

1938 - 2017

Barbara Keough Lundergan died in Northfield, Minnesota, on February 13, 2017. A native of Chicago's North Side, she was born on November 6, 1938. Barbara attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, on a full academic scholarship, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1960. Barbara worked full time in the Trust Department at the Continental Bank while attending Loyola University School of Law. She graduated in 1964 at the top of her class. She joined the Chicago law firm of Seyfarth, Shaw, Fairweather & Geraldson in 1964, where she became the first woman partner. She was elected to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) in 1993. Barbara moved to Northfield in 2004 to be near her grandchildren, Erin and Luke Hahn. Barbara's ashes will be interred at the Keough family burial plot on May 20, 2017, at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016. We invite all to attend.
We will meet at the large cemetery gate on the East side of River Road, at 12:30 p.m.. Parking will be inside the old section of the cemetery. we will walk together to the grave side. There will be a brief grave side service at 1:00 p.m. All are warmly welcome to attend the grave side service.
An open reception will immediately follow, at Riggio's Restaurant, 7530 West Oakton Street, Niles, IL, to honor Barbara with stories and memories. All are warmly welcome to join us, offer a toast and share a memory.
