Botheroyd, age 80, of Melrose Park, loving husband of the late Jeanette, nee Catanzaro; beloved father of Ron (Noreen) Mickelsen, Buzz (Joann Rakoczy) and Peggy (Larry) Boskelly; dear grandfather of Darron, Darryl (Geri), Michelle, Christian, Larry (Beth), Brent (Shannon), Laura and Chris; great-grandfather of Sara, Nissa, Erica, Jacob, Justin, Ryan, Sandy, Baby B and Meagan; brother of Alvina (Herbert) Hummelberg, Jack (Mary), Tom (Jeanette), Patricia (Myles) Smetana, Dolores (Ed) Schermer, Jerry, Billy and Kathleen (Roger) O'Conner; brother-in-law of Jack Catanzaro and Carmella (Jasper) Garite; uncle to many nieces and nephews; committed friend and neighbor to many. Navy Veteran of WWII and longtime member of Leyden Fire Department. Arrangements by Cuneo-Columbian Funeral Home, Franklin Park, IL. Interment private. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, 800 N. 18th Avenue, Melrose Park, 60160. Donations to The Disabled American Veterans would be appreciated. 847-455-1200.

It is almost 1 year Dad and you are in my thoughts every single moment. I miss you so very much and somehow I hope by writing this to you, you will be able to see it and let me know that you are ok. I have so many memories that I dream about every single day. Thank you for them Dad. Thank you for being the biggest strongest yet most gentle man I will EVER know. I love you Dad. Love your baby
