BERNARD WEINSTEIN Obituary
Bernard M. Weinstein, 95 wondrous years, born in Zeludek, Poland, emigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 8; granted citizenship while serving his country during World War II, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family; beloved husband for almost 65 years of the late Sylvia R., nee Feingut; loving father of Susan (Greg) Braithwaite; Larry (Renee) Weinstein, and Jane (Mark) Jacobson; proud grandfather of Callie and Elizabeth Braithwaite; Jordan (Angela) Sanders, Noah (VaLori) Weinstein, Shana (Roy) Davis, Cheryl (Jeff) Koch, Jason Weinstein; Rebecca, Eli (Jamie), Annie, and Ethan Jacobson; great grandfather of 16; dear son of the late Louis and Esther; fond brother of the late Milton and Frances; fond uncle of Laurie, Eileen, and Arnold. Service Friday 11:00 AM in the chapel of Westlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, 7801 W. Montrose Avenue, Norridge, where interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, please hug a loved one, call an old friend, or do a good deed for a stranger. The extended family is grateful to the United States of America for welcoming Bernie and allowing our family to share in the blessings and bounties of freedom. I am so sorry for your loss. Bernie came into my life while being at Silverao. He was a very wonderful man to be around. He was funny & a pleasure to talk with & take care. He captured my heart soon after meeting him. I'll carry him with me forever. RIP Bernie. Debra Caldwell
