Jeff, You and I never got to meet, yet I want to reach out and introduce myself and offer my sincere condolences if you happen to be celebrating with Brian's life here today. Brian and Trudy gave me my first salon job at Brady C'est Bon (ODE) when I was fresh out of Cosmetology school. June was my model for my Board Exams. I have great memories from those days. Brian was a special guy, kind with a "punny" sense of humor...one had to really listen. To this day I recall him always telling me, you have to work faster if you ever expect to make a living at this. After 44 years in the biz, I still could not match his proficiency. He was a real PRO and treated all of his clients like family and I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. It saddens me to learn of his passing. He was an awesome man and will always be fondly remembered.
With Respects and Peace, Bruce F.

Oh, how sad I am to hear of Brian's passing. I loved him so so much. We made each other laugh. He got a kick out of what a hot, young mess i was. There were many times when it was clear that he did not feel well. Still, he spruced himself up, put on a smile, and touched other's lives. He cared deeply about other people. So talented and handsome. My dear Jeff, my love and heart go out to you. The two of you touched and changed my life, forever. I will always remember you as my angels. Im so sorry for your loss. Much love. Deana

Jeff and all who loved Brian,

I just learned of Brian's passing when I went to look up his contact issue for a newly diagnosed friend. Brian was an extraordinary hairdresser, but an even better human being. He helped me so much as I went through my cancer journey, with kindness, humor and empathy. This loss is way too soon, but heaven truly has gained a special angel.

So saddened to never be able to visit and, most of all, laugh with Brian again. His sense of humor and compassion for others were his greatest gifts. Heaven needed a hairstylist and one of the funniest guys at the table, not to mention, someone with a beautiful singing voice. He was so multi-talented! He left on my birthday this September. I will always remember how happy him and family made me feel as a young child on my visits to Chicago with my grandmother, Dorothy. He will forever be missed and hold a special place in my heart along with Aunt June & Uncle Bob.

Dear Jeff,
Our family is so saddened to hear of the loss of Brian. He shaped my childhood, along with his parents, my Aunt June & Uncle Bob. I loved them all dearly and am shocked and saddened and cannot believe he is gone. I always looked forward to seeing them when we could, though it was not often enough. I had been wanting to make a trip to Chicago to see you all with my husband and daughter, Ali, last summer but did not. I so wish we had! I am so glad we had met you and had been to your home back in 2002 and had dinner with you all at that time. I will always remember that visit. The photo is from when we had been to visit for my grandmother's (Dorothy) memorial and burial in Chicago in May 2000. They always knew how to have a good time as you can see by Aunt June wearing our infant daughter's bib that had the month of June on it! Brian had always said, "life isn't a dress rehearsal" and he didn't live it that way in his short years. I am so proud of the business you both started to help those with cancer needing wigs--what a wonderful tribute of the type of life Brian led, always wanting others to feel better and laugh again. I will forever miss him and his family. Peace to you in time and through memories of your life together. Jody, Chris & Alison Bognar (and my mother, Maren Moll).

To the man who always said "this" is beautiful and then proceeded to suggest ways to make it better, I really loved how you could do that without hurting anyones feelings. Heaven help Heaven when Brian arrives! It was interesting to have you as tenants in my first venture as a landlord on Milwaukee Ave. My best to the one the best. My condolences to Jeff, they were a great team.

As a former colleague at the Grand Salon, we had a beautiful respect for each others talents. A fun loving man who graced the people who knew him. Too young to leave but I wish his partner, family and friends peace.

Brian was such a kind and talented person.
I was grateful to have him as a friend and office neighbor and enjoyed seeing his fabulous wig creations that made the ladies who were ill feel beautiful. He enriched so many lives with his wig creations and that is why he was sought after world wide for his artistic expertise.
He will be very much missed.

Brian was an emotional lifesaver. His kindness, caring and attention to detail all helped eased the difficult transitions from learning you have cancer, to losing your hair to getting it back. His beautiful work gave me confidence; his beautiful soul gave me hope. He will be greatly missed.
