Bruno Rakowski, Korean War Army Veteran, proud Member of the 82nd Airborne; longtime resident of Tinley Park, IL and Phoenix, AZ. Beloved husband of Dolores "Dolly," nee Urbaniak; devoted father of Daniel (Deborah), David (Cherie), Doreen McClain, Diane (Peter) Vendal, Danette (Donald) Drake and Douglas Rakowski; proud grandfather of Devin, Corrin, Danielle, David, Brian, Staci, Dean, Mark, Joseph, Amanda, Stephanie, Brandon, Margaret, Sam, Grace and Ellen; cherished great grandfather of David, Kaitlyn and Dylan; loving brother of Alyce Joubert, Arnold, Paul and the late William Rakowski. Visitation Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday 10:30 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park to St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Mass 11:15 a.m. Interment Private. To Dave and the entire Rakowski family:
You have my sympathy. I know he suffered a lot in the past several years and now his suffering is over and he is whole, walking the golden streets of heaven with his Heavenly Father.
It's always hard to lose a loved one, but what a comfort we as Christian have. May God comfort you as only He can do.
