Bryce De Vos

1974 - 2013

Bryce James De Vos, age 39, of Farmington, MN, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 23, 1974 in Youngstown, OH to James L. and Lois E. nee Orlowski De Vos. Bryce proudly served his country in the US Navy as an engineman in the United States and the Persian Gulf. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked many years as a diesel mechanic in Wyoming, Illinois and Minnesota. He grew up in Naperville, IL, having attended Saints Peter and Paul grade school and Benet Academy in Lisle, IL. Bryce enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, skiing and golfing. He is survived by his parents James L. and Lois E. De Vos of Yorkville, a brother Ryan James De Vos of Plainfield, IL, an aunt Roberta (Jeffery) Kieltyka of Woodridge, IL and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Henry and Florence De Vos and maternal grandparents Leo and Adeline Orlowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at 10:30 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL with Father Francis S. Rog, C.R. officiating.
