Carl F. Gross

Carl F. Gross passed peacefully on April 23, 2018, at the age of 90. Devoted husband to Candace Dickinson Gross for 44 years; loving father to Steven (Susan), John (Laurie), Scott (Amanda) and Neil; proud grandfather to Braden, Ellie, Gavin, Kate, Abby, Kendall and Bobby. He was ahead of his time as a strong yet sensitive man. As a husband, a father, a grandfather or a friend, he was direct, strong and steadfast, yet never afraid to show his emotions. Carl was a proud man with resolute convictions, but not too proud to admit a mistake. He was always able to show understanding and empathy for others' views. He lived his life by the Golden Rule and taught those he loved to do likewise. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 2, from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Lake Hinsdale Village Clubhouse, 1 Clubhouse Drive, Willowbrook. Memorials in Carl's honor may be made to the charity of your choice.
