Carlton P. Newman, memorial services for Carlton Patton ''Pat'' Newman will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Community Church of Barrington, 407 S. Grove Ave., Barrington. Mr. Newman was born July 10, 1925 in Texas. He died April 22, 2002 at home surrounded by members of his family after a long and brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 56 years, Virginia ''Ginny''; his sons, Chris (Marjorie) Newman of Hoffman Estates and Ted (Carolyn) Newman of Barrington; his grandchildren, Laura, Emily and Carl Newman of Barrington; his brother William J. (Marge) Newman of Cupertino, CA; his niece Catherine (Michael) Kinnamon of Webster Grove, MO; his nephew, Kenneth Newman of Fremont, CA; and Jim (Carol) Stevens of Groveland, CA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the A.I.C. Girls Primary Boarding School in Kenya c/o Community Church in Barrington. For info 847-381-1294.
