What a wonderful and graceful woman your mother was! I know that my parents, Betty and Fritzie (as your mother called him) have welcomed her already with open arms. The passing of our mothers has saddened me as much as their lives have inspired me. I know that their friendship will never end.

Mrs. McDonough was one of the sweetest persons I have ever known, and I always looked forward to seeing her at Mather when I visited. My mother, Marge Cotter, was friends with Carol since childhood throughout her life including both being members of the "Bag Ladies" club and their years at Mather of Wilmette. My mom got a head start in 2012 getting heaven ready for Carol's arrival. I know she will be glad to see her, but I know Carol's family and friends here are grieving without her. Please accept my sincere thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
