Catherine Casciaro Obituary

Catherine (Cathy) A. Casciaro, age 63, of Lake Zurich, Il died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on January 12, 2021. Cathy was born in Chicago, Il on October 31, 1957 to Bill and Dorothy Doran. Besides raising her three incredible children she was a successful hair stylist, a retail consultant for William Sonoma, and a compassionate care-giver to the elderly. Her primary passion was cooking for her family and friends and as a private chef working for a premier caterer while living in San Francisco, CA. She is survived by her daughters Gia (Jay) McNulty, Madeliene Casciaro, and son Gregory (Laura) Casciaro, 1 sister Eileen (Ken) Urbanski, 4 brothers Michael Doran, Tim (Debbie) Doran, John Doran, and Billy (Kim) Doran. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a mass and celebration of life will be held once it is safe to do so, hopefully during the summer of 2021. Donations in lieu of flowers, in memory of Cathy, should be made to the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) or the JourneyCare Foundation. Funeral information (847) 255-7800 or www.friedrichsfh.com.
