The Carlucci Family is in my thoughts and prayers. Charlie was a kind. a smart and a generous guy with a great sense of humor. We would always share stories of being part of a large and loving Catholic Family! Sr. Celestine and her religious order always loved to be treated by Charlie, Joe, and Phyllis!

Charlie was the guy I would turn to when I really needed someone to listen. He did so with an endless ear. Rose, all I know is how much this guy loved you and the kids. He was always talking about you guys. Too soon. Way too soon.

Rose and family,

Today when the call came to me through my phone as "Charley" little did I know that you were going to tell me that my good friend Charley was no longer with us.

I remember the great times at all the Carlluci's run restaurants including Ditka's. I and my children have such fond memories about birthdays, celebrations and Charley always made them better because of his great personality and kindness.

Personally my heart is broken and sad. He was truly a character with a personality that could fill the room and heart just a big.

He will be missed and I will never forget his friendship to me.

Rose, my family prayers go you to your family.

This sad news transported me to Halsted Street in the early 80s--so many memories of "Cha Cha" behind the bar at Glascott's. What a fun-loving, unforgettable guy loved my many. Peace to all the Carlucci family.

To Rose, Mary, Gabrielle, James and the entire Carlucci family: We are so deeply sad to hear the news of Charlie's passing. We truly felt honored to have met Charlie and witnessed his love for his family and his Queens family. Although it has been several years since we have seen Charlie, we often talk about the fond memories we had together as a Queen's family and of course, those included Charlie. He was so very kind to everyone and always left you with a smile on your face. His energy and joy was infectious! Our hearts are truly broken for you. With fond memories and heavy hearts, The Cruz Family - Jasmine, Debbie, Tom and Diana.

Charlie was a great coworker, but also a true friend. We worked together at Billy Casper Golf, and I looked forward to all of our interactions, both professionally and especially personally.
I will always remember his wit, his great sense of humor, and the love and passion he had for his family.
I am deeply saddened by this news but I know he will be cracking jokes in heaven and looking down upon us with a smile.

I can not begin to tell you how much we love Charlie. My husband Jimmy Yarosh was a Secret Service agent and he and Paul Morrissey were transferred together from DC to Chicago in 1983. I believe they met Charlie almost on arrival and the rest is history. We had our wedding at Carlucci's and it was the very best day of my life. I can hear Charlie's laugh right now. My deepest sympathies to his family, especially his wife, Rose. Marrying the love of his life made him a better man. Loosing Charlie absolutely breaks my heart.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. My heartfelt condolences.

On behalf of the Lymans, our deepest sympathies to Rose and family over this loss -- far too early. Charlie was a great neighbor and tireless parishioner, and was of course a consummate hospitality professional. He'll be dearly missed in our community. Thoughts and Prayers.

My deepest condolences to the Carlucci Family

I only had the pleasure of getting to know Charlie since I moved back home to Chicago in 2013. I was/am a regular first off the tee at Waveland every Saturday and Sunday. Charlie would come into the shop and ask the guys if Richie had teed off, if so at about the 7th or 8th hole up would come Charlie in a cart with an adult beverage, he of course knew my personal preference. Unexpected but certainly a delighted customer since it may only be 6 6:20ish in the AM during the longest days of summer. I'd finish my round and wander to the café to have coffee and talk with Charlie. Often Charlie would ask if I was hungry even though the CTC hadn't opened for the day. The breakfast sandwiches were outstanding. Charlie was truly an extraordinary hospitality professional. About a year after we had these Saturdays/Sundays that I finally put it together that this is the same Carlucci from Carlucci's on Halsted, a place I frequented in my much younger days with equally fond memories.

Charlie was a great friend to me and will be deeply missed.

I know Charlie Carlucci from his effective and wonderful professional years at Marovitz Golf Course and Clock Tower Cafe. Charlie was the consummate restauranteur and hospitality professional. The golfers and and diners of Waveland Clock Tower Cafe so appreciated that he brought the space back to life, light and robust flavors. When he came through the cafe, he always paused to talk, share, live life and enjoy the day. He was an Italian bon vivant extraordinaire. It was great fun working with Charlie for a couple months trying to woo him to open an Italian restaurant in Buena Park. We considered spaces, and tried to find the financing. Alas-other opportunities beckoned. I really liked Charlie. He was a good man who expressed love for his children, family and others. My life is enriched for having crossed paths. The walk however ended too early... My thoughts are with the Carlucci Family at this time of passing, loss, great sadness and transitions. We will continue the journey for good Charlie Carlucci.
