Chuck, our friend & fellow musician, please know that we are thinking of you & that you will not be forgotten.
Thank you for being there for Mike after his injury & for referring him to one of your own specialists who finally got him the attention & medical care that he truly needed after his concussion in 2016. He is doing fine now thanks to your friendship, concern & "tlc".
It was also a joy & pleasure to have you sing a song or two with our band, Scraps of Brass on occasion.
May you rest in peace, Chuck.

Dear Difranco family, I just heard about Dr. DiFranco´s death earlier today. I was saddened to hear this. He was a kind gentleman and a great Doctor. This truly is a tremendous loss. May his memory be eternal.

I´m one of Dr Chuck´s patients and drove from Galena to have him do my tooth implants. Shall miss his serenades of Sinatra tunes and his skills and artistry. So sorry for the loss to his family, friends and staff.

I was a patient of Dr. Chuck for 25 years. He made going to the dentist such a pleasure and was an expert surgeon. I am so sad to learn about his passing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family and those who worked with him. He was one of kind, a very special person.

I was “one” of Dr. Chucks more challenging patients. I’m saddened to hear of his passing. May I never need another implant again. He is the one that got me to trust in the process of such a complicated procedure for me. He was the best. May he RIP.

We are so sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing. I’ve known Chuck professionally for over 30 years, and have always admired and respected him for making everyone around him feel loved and respected when he was with them. Chuck had the gift of treating everyone like family, and I believe that his friends, family colleagues all become better people every time they spent time with him. I met Chuck in high school, when my family moved to Park Ridge, midway through my junior year. Chuck was a popular guy, played sports, and seemed to know everyone. Yet he took the time to get to know me, a new guy in town, who had the usual lack of self-confidence that goes with being a “new guy.” Anyway, that’s what I most remember about him, that he was a really nice guy, who wasn’t too into himself, and who reached out to make me feel comfortable in this new environment. Coincidentally, we ended up going to the same college, where we would see each other randomly, and again, he was always a friendly face who would always say hi back when our paths crossed. It’s no surprise to me that he became such a successful clinician and family man. Thanks, Chuck, for being that friendly face when I needed it. God bless your family.

What a loss! Dr. Chuck made me have a beautiful smile thanks to his expertise in implants. Not only was he an amazing periodontist, he was witty and made me feel at ease and what a bonus to be serenaded by him while he was working on your teeth. We shared many a story about being raised Italian. And my friends and I loved Dr. Chuck’s performances with Dinner at 8! He was one talented, funny, kind and unforgettable man. Taken too soon, heaven has certainly gained another angel. My condolences to the family...May you be comforted with your loving memories of a man who loved you all so much! Godspeed!

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all the family and friends of Dr. Chuck. I have been a patient of Dr. Chucks for several years and found
him to be a wonderful person. One of my most memorable moments of Dr. Chuck was when he sang while I was having oral surgery. What a fantastic voice - right up there with Frank Sinatra He will be greatly missed.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Chuck. He was a outstanding periodontist and more importantly, a incredibly good person. He was caring, compassionate, conscientious and humorous. I commented to Dr Chuck Jr not long ago that it is so unusual to see people smiling when they walk in and, more importantly, when they walk out of a dentist or periodontist office and that is so true at the DiFranco practice.
May you RIP Dr Chuck. My condolences to the family.

Chuck and I were friends and professional colleagues for 40 years. In our lives, many of us are fortunate enough to have a few friends who set an example on how to live a full and rewarding life. Chuck was that person for me. His courage and resilience during his serious health problem many years ago was amazing. But in all of my contact with him, he was rarely down or negative. And, of course, he was the quintessential Italian family man. I was one of the lucky ones who benefited from his sunny attitude and total professionalism and will miss him terribly. The DiFranco family can take some measure of solace in the fact that so many of us share in their loss.

Chuck DiFranco was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, professional, mentor, and friend. Chuck undeniably touched our hearts and inspired all of us. His countless friends gravitated toward him because he was a kind, loving and compassionate person. If you just met Chuck, you instantly loved him for his wit, humor, and congeniality. His zest for life was something we all wish to attain. Personally, throughout my college, dental school and adult life, I have looked up to him as a role model on how I should conduct myself and live my life. To say I was inspired by him is an understatement. We have all lost an enormous piece of our hearts with his passing and it hurts deeply. I can only offer my deepest sympathies to his wonderful parents, his loving brothers and sisters, his devoted, charming wife, beloved children, proud grandchildren, and many, many, many heartbroken friends. We have collectively lost a great man. We can pay our respects by living our lives in his memory. Words cannot express how much we will miss you, Chuck. You were one of a kind. Heaven is a better place today.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Difranco family. Chuck and I attended Loyola University together. I will always remember the times we shared as ll Center Cowboys wrestling and playing flag football. He was always a free spirit enjoying life during our challenging university years. Our friendship continued through dental school, and though our life paths took us in different directions, he was always a good friend and will be missed.

Dr Chuck was the most caring, compassionate and entertaining dentist. Through the past eight years I have had five implants with him. He returned all my calls and emails or called me back. He never left me in pain or with unanswered questions.
During each of implant procedures he would sing along to Frank Sinatra. He was amazingly a good singer.
He was a compassionate and caring man. I am truly heartbroken he was taken to God so early. He will be truly missed.

For the many years Chuck and I worked together professionally, he always treated my patients thoughtfully, skillfully, and appropriately. He made everyone feel comfortable despite their fears or apprehensions. Chuck and I spoke often about treatment philosophies, and he respected my restorative perspective. I enjoyed time spent chasing golf balls with him and our many friendly conversations. Chuck was a true gift to dentistry and the many friends in his life.
