Charles Morgan Obituary

Morgan, Charles Hope
Charles Hope Morgan, beloved father and husband, passed away on the evening of January 7, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Charlie was the loving father of Richard Charles and Hope Suzanne Morgan and the loyal husband of Cynthia Louis Morgan. He was born in Hinsdale and worked for Toyota. Charlie was very spiritual in nature and had artistic abilities. An avid reader, he spent most of his free time reading and drawing. Charlie spent the last few years of his life reflecting on the great things he had been blessed with throughout his life. Charlie, by choice, lived a very selfless life in honor of his loved ones. His love for them could never be measured, for it was so immense and consuming. When you were in Charlie's presence, there was an undeniable radiance of profound happiness and optimism. His love for Chicago sports was imperishable, always finding time to watch his Cubs or Bears. He will be remembered and sadly missed by those he leaves behind including his sister, Martha Kern of Naperville and the Styczynski Family. A Memorial service will be held at St. John of the Cross in Western Springs, IL at 9:45 a.m. on March 20, 2010, on what would have been Charlie's 54th birthday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Morgan Children's College Fund, P.O. Box #15-931, Burlington, KY 41005.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I do not sleep

I am a thousand winds that swiftly blow.
I am the diamond glint
on newly fallen snow.
I am the sunlight
on ripened grain.
I am the soft and gentle autumn rain

When you wake from sleep in the early morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft, starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
The memories of Charlie will always live on in our hearts.
