Chris was one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. HIs intellectual curiousity and passion for learning about subtle aspects of mind were grounded in a basically great and loving way of living. He could seem like a very simple person much of the time... but he reached for depths of self understanding that few people may know about. I was privellaged to have him as a student. His presence remains with me and especially in moments when I recall his brilliant smile.

My heart goes out to you, Gloria and McKee. I have fond memories of darling little Chris, during the time I knew you best when he was just a little guy. To say that I am sad for you is an understatement. I must say, too, as so many others have, how proud you must be of the life he led. May God grant you serenity.

It was about a year ago that Chris was submitting his doctoral dissertation to the library at the Adler School. I worked with him seeing that all the final pieces were in place for publication. It was always a pleasure dealing with Chris in my capacity as one of the librarians at the Adler School. I wish to express my deepest sympathy at his passing. My prayers are with him and his family and friends.

Gloria and McKee--for once I'm at a loss for words. But it seems to me that you both can be very proud of Chris's life, which was full of accomplishment and grace. Please know that I am here if there is anything at all I can do for you. Katy, Mary, Brian, Colin and Sean: I too lost a brother, too early. My thoughts and prayers go with you.

Chris was a colleague and a friend. Loved and respected for his integrity as a thinker and convicted compassion as a fellow human. I had the pleasure of knowing Chris both in the classroom setting and through our clinical experience together while students at the Adler school. This news is a particular shock and to me as Chris and graduated together in 2008 and relocated around the same time to begin our respective careers in Wisconsin. We had plans to reconnect while here. His loss is both surreal and tragic. All my love and warm regard to his family and survivors, in particular Kelly. .

I used to work out with Chris and considered him a friend. I lost touch with him a few years ago as I stopped Muay Thai. He was truly one of the kindest, smartest and influential individuals I have ever met. He was the kind of person whom made you feel special just for having known him. The kind of man that led his life in a way that challenged you and made you want to work harder on yourself. He and I would have many conversations after workouts and I can honestly say that he was a man who lived with passion for his work, his family, and enthusiasms. I feel deeply saddened by the news of his passing, and offer my deepest sympathies and regards to those who knew him best. The only thing I can say in condolence is that I know how hard to he worked to change peoples lives, and while I cannot speak for them, I can say that I am a better man for having known him. He will be missed. John W

Sounds like Chris touched many a life. Our actions have a rippling effect on the entire world we live in. I am certain that Chris' life and his life's work has made our world a better place. While I regret that I never knew Chris, I have had the honor of knowing his father and brothers, men I know to be of great character. I've no doubt Chris was the same.

I'd like to offer my condolences to the Kirkpatrick family. Although I never knew Christopher, it is apparent that he was a wonderful, smart, talented, and extremely giving young man. It saddens me to know that someone of his caliber has left our existence at such a young age. May peace and love be with his family.
Best,

I did not know "Dr.K" but he sounds like someone you would like to know.
His life apparently ended all too quickly. As I scanned the obituaries on Sunday morning I could not help but stop and read all that this young man accomplished in his life,he was a true humanitarian. We seem to get used to tradgedies as this apparently was as we go through our hectic lives.
To his family, parents, brothers, sisters , nieces and nephews this is one young man you can be proud of that he was in your family ,my deepest condolences.
Dr. K., may you rest in peace and have the everlasting light shine upon you ,the Lord will surely watch over you and welcome you into his Kingdom.
