Missing you today, like every other day, Mom. Can't believe it's been ten years that you're gone. As you know, Aunt Rae left us yesterday. I hope the two of you are happy together again. Our Thelma and Louise. Miss you both.
Love,
Les

CJ & I were more than sisters. We were the 2 middle children, with an older brother(an only son) and a much younger baby sister. We are the middle children.

We were friends, buddies, partners in crime and senior adventurers from chopping a chunk of old concrete to fill a persistent hole in her driveway at Gravel Lake, to capturing and releasing a very frightened & frightening bat in the family room of my house, to our Thelma & Louise (with a happy ending) road trip to Washington State. And much more.

We laughed a lot & always had a good time. Our bond has always been close but even more so in the past 25 years, during which time we both lost husbands & she a son. She would call & say "i's time for a trip to Ikea, or I'd call & say, feel like the Breadbasket today? It is one of our favorite lunch places. I admired her very strong faith & she admired my large extended family.

There is now an empty place in my life & a tear in my heart. I miss her every day. RIP lovely sister.

Among the many thoughtful things Aunt Corky did was send greeting cards to commemorate special occasions. Growing up, we kids (and MANY others, I'm sure) always received birthday cards from her. That was a LOT of cards, because there were a LOT of us nieces and nephews. How thrilling it was to received our own piece of mail on our special day! We're going to miss you so much....especially up at the lake. With much love....

Grandma Jones was always our "go to" person to visit in Thornton..Even if the visit wasn't planned she was always glad to see us..that's what I will miss the most..knowing I could count on a hug and some good conversation whether for a little bit or a long bit..when Dale Robert was born his first trip out of the house was to the Jones house for one of many lasagna parties..Grandma Jones got her share of holding him that night!! She was loved by the entire Packard family and will be greatly missed!

I will always remember the times that she did come to visit Les, our talks on the back patio at Les's house or during cookouts at our house. She always had insightful comments on literally any subject. I also learned some "Chicagoese" from her as well which was fun to do. She was a great lady who will be missed. God Bless you Corinne.

In my brief encounters, she displayed the vim/vigor that reminded me of my eldest sister; I cherish the few times we were in her company, as she always provided knowledge/experiences that had even escaped our younger minds. Les/Nancy - truly sorry for your/family loss...

I could have searched the world-over for a lifetime and I wouldn't have found a better mother. You really led by example and showed me how to live right and how to love life! You've been in my heart every day of my life and you will be missed every day for the rest of it. You did a great job here and we'll be OK.

I'm very happy that you're in a better place now and with Dad and Bob and all the rest of the family and friends who have gone before us. They have been waiting for you for a long time.

I love you, Mom, and I will miss you until we meet again.
