Dear Thomas Family,
We are so saddened by the loss of Curtis.He touched the lives of all 6 of us with his loving smile and his kind ways. It was always so nice to have him at our house when he and Peter were growing up. We remember his joking ways, and how he could make everyone laugh.Remember when the 8th grade volleyball team all painted the letters of Curtis's name on their stomachs? He was a true leader and a wonderful example of friendship and love. We will miss him.

I had the privilege to work with Curtis on many occasions throughout college and no matter how stressed out I was, he would find a way to make me smile. As difficult as it is to say good bye and think about losing such a good friend, Curtis will always keep me spirits up and have me smiling. That's just the kind of person he was and always will be. He was one of the first RA's i knew and he was a warm and great guy! I have seen him make people laugh and it really is hard to believe he is gone. Hope you are partying it up there big guy!

I was a substitute teacher at St. Raymond, and subbed a lot for that group that Curtis was part of... He was a great kid with always a big smile on his face and always had a great sense of humor. He left a lasting impression wherever he went. I'm so sorry.

Our prayers continue to be with the Thomas family during this sad time. I met Curtis when he was in 6th grade and volunteered to be on the newly created Peace Committee. I can still see and hear his presence - so wise and funny for such a youngster at the time. His spirit will live on in all those who love him. God bless all of you.

We met Curtis during his Junior year during football when our son Case was a Senior and told us what a great guy and hard worker he was , and he really admired his heart and courage even then. I worked with Curtis as an RA at MSOE, and very few people leave the lasting impact that Curtis has. His larger-then-life personality made him popular, but his kindness and concern for others made him memorable.
