I knew Dave through Notre Dame Hockey and am so sorry to hear about your loss. Dave was a great coach and person. He had a great attitude toward coaching and his team loved him. Dave was a great guy and he will not be forgotten.

I knew Dave through my older brother, growing up in Hamilton- Wenham. He came to numerous parties at our house and was always kind to me. Very funny guy too, great sense of humor. When Dave was around, people were surely laughing. I'll always remember the "Goody-man" fondly. Warmest wishes and sympathy to the Gooding family. - John Curley

My sincere condolences to the Gooding family. I grew up playing street and ice hockey with Dave and remember him teaching me how to ride his motorcycle in his back yard in Wenham. He had a great laugh and made those around him laugh w/ him.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Dave in Columbus and he was such a great guy. I am deeply saddened to hear that he has passed away and I send my heartfelt condolences to you all. I was saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with him in Amherst in the 80's and he was my roomate for a semester. You always knew he was in the room with his trademark laugh. His humor and sarcasm were greatly appreciated. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
