David Franklin Smith Sr.

72, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2022. David is survived by his loving wife and forever Sweetie, Patricia (née Hunter); devoted dad to Katherine Browne (Nat Heron), David Jr. (Ann) and Patricia (Adam) Kosobud; adoring Pops to Duncan Browne, Benjamin and Eleanor Smith; dearest brother of Stephen (Carol) and Karen (Richard Pauly). David was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Bernardine Smith. He was an avid classic car collector and a member of TCA -Tri Chevy Association and the CCE-Chicagoland Corvair Enthusiasts. Prior to his retirement, David was a 37 year employee of Illinois Central/CN railroad. Visitation Thursday 3-9 p.m. Funeral Friday 9:00 a.m. from the Robert J.
