Jane Voth, 93, died Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Schowalter Villa Memory Care Unit in Hesston, Kansas.
She was born December 17, 1932 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Howard G. Nyce and Eva Renninger Nyce Krehbiel.
On September 2, 1956, she married Larry Voth in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Jane attended elementary and high schools in Allentown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Pretty Prairie High School, Pretty Prairie, after her family moved to the community. She attended Bethel Deaconess School of Nursing and later graduated from Bethel College with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Over the years Jane held several positions in nursing and eventually retired to care for her husband who experienced health challenges toward the end of his life. She and Larry spent several years in Markham, Illinois while Larry pastored the Community Mennonite Church in Markham before moving to North Newton in 1973 when Larry accepted a position with Bethel College. Both communities held special places in their hearts with friends and family a central part of their lives.
Survivors include daughters, Laurie (Voth) and Donovan Regehr of Halstead, Leslie (Voth) and Lauren Stephan of Mount Hope Linda (Voth) Mueller of North Newton; grandchldren Jordon and Emily (Kliewer) Regehr of Andover, Justin and Tiffany (Kaufman) Regehr of Conway Springs, Jared and Natalie (Graber) Regehr of Wichita, Taylor and Macy (McCurry) Stephan of Sedgwick, and Sydney (Stephan) and Alex Wise of Hutchinson; great grandchildren, Hudson, Haydon, and Holden Regehr, Logan, Landon, and Leyton Regehr, Kora, Karson, and Karter Stephan, Brooks, Kayden, and Myah Wise; family friend Dwight Mueller.
In addition to her husband, Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Whitney Stephan.
Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2025 at Faith Mennonite Church in Newton. Memorials may be made to Bethel College or to Bluestem Communities.
