Ive known debbie for many years through camp manitoqua and she has always been one of the most upbeat people associated with that place. From getting to SAM with her for years and working on staff with her, i truly saw her develop into an amazing woman of Christ. I just found out today about this tragedy, and whats our loss is heavens gain. i just saw her at the beginning of the summer, and while we talked about the sudden loss of my father, she reminded me that God takes the best to be with Him. Like the Irvines, i can also relate to your sudden and shocking loss, and although we miss our loved ones, i fully believe that God is right there holding us as we cry.
thank you for sharing your daughter with us.

Marilee,
Laura Vroom called us to let us know about your daughter's death. We are so sorry for your loss. We didn't personally know your daughter but she was good friends with our daughter, Kim. They met and worked together at camp. Kim died in March of 2002 in a hiking accident in Ireland. Your daughter came to Kim's funeral. She and Laura talked often of Kim. My heart aches for you for I know the pain you are feeling. Please email me if you ever want to talk. Debbie will always be a part of your life and there will always be a huge hole in your heart but I can tell you God is with you and I believe He weeps with you and will carry you thru the pain. Oh won't it be wonderful to hug our daughters again someday. God be with you. In Christ, Ruth Irvine

When through one woman a little more love and goodness, a little more light and truth come into the world---then that woman's life has had meaning....Unknown
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Debbie's family and friends who were touched by her love and kindness. May you find some confort in knowing that a part of Debbie will always remain in the hearts of those who knew her. God Bless.

I didn't know Debbie very well, but I worked in Anderson hall when she was a resident there last year. I work at the desk and she always chatted with me while she waited to check her guests in. She always had a smile on her face and was very friendly. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin this journey of healing.

I went to high school with Debbie and even though we were never close friends I always knew she was a great person. She always had a smile on her face and seemed very happy. I send my deepest regrets to her family.

I've known Debbie since we were in 5th grade, we were in girl scouts together, shared a class here and there. I was never close with her, but remembering someone like her, you can't help it. I'll never forget that laugh! She always smiled, and heck of an athlete. Just know that many people from Andrew and everyone else are thinking about her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Rest In Peace.
Sincerely,
Lindsay

Our very deepest sympathy to your family. I don't know if you remember us from basketball (Tiffany's parents) but we remember Debbie....mostly because of her never-fading smile. She always seemed happy and was such a pleasant girl to be around. We hope that you get through this very difficult time by sharing those happier memories with others and then keeping those times always close to your heart. Our prayers are with you.

I was lucky enough to know Debbie since garmmar school. I got to know her better in jr high from being in band with her and having classes together. She was always smiling and laughing even when she was playing her trombone during band rehearsal. She was always surrounded by friends and was kind to everyone. For some reason, the images of Debbie eating tuna at the 7th grade lunch table and her at the 8th grade dance are stuck in my head. Although I did not see much of Debbie in high school, she never passed me in the hallway without smiling and saying hi. Debbie will always be remembered and never forgotten. With thought and prayers, I extended my dearest condolescenes to Debbie's family and friends.

There is nothing else to say except that Deb was a great girl--and a joy to be around. Her laugh was infectious, her personality was wonderful, but we're not saying anything that isn't already known. Our condolences to you and your family during this difficult time, and our thought and prayers are with you always....
