Dear Uncle Denny,
One of my fond memories of you is when you came to our house in Rockford with your 57 Chevy, Itsa nice license plate. We little kids were so excited! I think you were on your way to the Byron drag strip to see how fast you could get her going on the quarter mile? I imagine you doing just that in your afterlife...Thankyou for being a part of my happy childhood memories. Kathleen Moran Indianapolis Indiana

Denny had a kind soul behind his gruff demeanor. I remember in the 1970's how Happy and proud he was the day he bought his father a new Cadillac. My daughters were selling Girl Scout cookies he bought 20 boxes from them and then gave them away to his elderly customers when they stopped into his garage. We were snowmobile buddies, during the blizzard of 1978 a group of us snowmobiles delivered medications, diapers and essentials to people in Forest Park throughout the night to help out the Forest Park Police. He was a true friend and a giving person, a hard worker and lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by many, my sincere condolences to his family.

A true unsung hero. He contributed so much to the community and those in need without fanfare, not his style. He was my gruff, pain in the .... friend who had a heart of gold. He loved his family, Forest Park and his Packers...RIP buddy, I will miss our talks.

Sending the entire family out well wishes during this difficult time. I know Denis was a great man and I never met him. The way he raised his son Dan tells me how great a man Denis was.
God bless.

The first time I met Denny was when he blew past me on a motorcycle and I was in a squad car. We became real good friends when we got to know each other later though. In fact so good that when I brought my police package Ford in for repair he test rode it over to Oak Park a few times when he was dating Kathy. Months later I received overdue parking notices from those visits. I think he is still laughing about that. He was such a good friend that he even showed me how to lose at dice. We had a 52 year long friendship that included Kiwanis meetings, church fund raisers, picnics, parties, dinners, events at the VFW or Moose, personal get-togethers and even just a toast or two. I miss you sweetheart, you arrived on April Fool's Day and went out with visitation on Valentines Day!
With our most heartfelt condolences to Kathy and all the Moran Family.

Denny was a classmate of mine at St Luke. I had him put glass pack muffler on my moms car. She thought it was going to blow up.
