Hello Elaine,
We never met but I knew Denise back in the Evanston Hospital days. And then we would cross paths occasionally. Nancy Baker was our mutual friend. Her name just came up today June 28th on my phone, and I called and got an odd message. So I texted her. Perhaps you have her phone? Then I did a search on google...and there was the sad news. Please email me if you would like to connect some time. I have been through what you are going through - just half as long a relationship. Now in a new one for past 10 years. Sigh. It is quite a journey. Sending you strength, hope and eventually peace.

May yesterday's fond memories ease your painful tomorrows.
I will miss her smile, laugh, and the festive themed "goodies" she (& Elaine)brought to the coffee nights and breakfasts. My waistline thanks her.
My love and condolences to all.

Denise was often at Costco and loved the soft serve with strawberries. Probably five or more years ago at Christmas, she gave me an elastic bracelet with wooden Rudolphs and beads. I still have that little token of friendship and still pull it out during the holiday season. Denise fought hard, had good days and bad, but she always had a smile for those she met. She will be missed by many.

Denise was a kind and loving person. My kids will always remember her as one of their crazy aunts. She had her low days and her high days. She suffered for many years but still had a warm word and a smile for all she met. She could start a conversation with a wall and still get a reply. Some days she drove some of us nuts. Other days she made up for it. Right now she is in heaven having a hot dog or fried gizzards with our other family members who have passed.
I wish she was here sharing some gizzards now with me.
I do miss her. I will always love her.
Until we meet again, rest in peace my dear sister!

I met Denise a few years ago. She was a friend to one of my friends that was in a cancer survivor group.... She was sincere, happy and lovely, laughing any time I saw her. I know she suffered all the time I knew her, but you couldn't tell, only that she was tired.... She gave cancer a great fight and I know she is at peace...I will miss you Ms. Denise.
