Dennis Marchlewicz Obituary

Dennis E. Marchlewicz, D.D.S., suddenly, entered God's Kingdom on July 31, 2004. Beloved husband of 34 years to Barbara Mika; son of Evelynn Prorok and the late Edward Marchlewicz; brother of Gary (Deborah) and Jeffrey (Nancy); brother-in-law of Mary (Donald) Bowen and Evelyn (the late Jacob) Tilman; loving uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews; grateful and considerate friend to many. Dennis was to be a recipient of a kidney transplant and was waiting patiently, but God had other plans. Dennis' zest for life and high goals were always admired by those who knew him. His doctors and nursing staff were held in his high esteem for their gentle care. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., in Honquest Family Funeral Home, North Mulford Chapel, 4205 North Mulford Road, Rockford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 4, in St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery.

Dear Barb,

We were very saddened to learn of Dennis' passing. When we moved to Lake Zurich 22 years ago, we came to know you folks as family, not just a dentist office. We imagine everyone who went to Dennis felt the same way. Dennis was a wonderful dentist and such a gentle, caring person. You can be consoled by the knowledge that you have many friends who share in your loss but know he has gone to a much better place.

Take care, Barb and may God bless.

Our deepest sympathy to Barb and her family. Dennis was a wonderful person and excellent dentist! It is our hope and prayer that your family may find peace in this scripture verse: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:1-3

We wish you comfort in this promise and hope for everlasting life! With our condolences & love in His Name - Phil & Gina Dusza
