Diane O'Donohue Obituary

Diane O'Donohue passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Lisle, Illinois. She was born on May 16, 1946 to her parents Nell and Charlie Urso. Diane and her beloved siblings Charlene O'Keefe and Chuck Urso were raised in Berwyn, Illinois, where she graduated from Morton West High School. Diane was an exceptionally kind, warm, and generous person. These traits enriched the different organizations where she worked throughout her career as a receptionist and early childhood educator.

Diane's love and care for her family were at the center of all she did in her life. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom O'Donohue, who did a heroic job caring for her throughout her battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Her children Daniel, David, and Erin O'Donohue were the lucky recipients of her constant affection and unwavering support, and Diane was an adoring mother-in-law to their spouses Erin Roehrig O'Donohue, Erin O'Malley O'Donohue, and Philippe Sion. Above all, Diane doted on her five grandchildren: Malley, Leo, Dylan, Hannah, and Aidan.

Diane's family is profoundly grateful to everyone who supported her during the last years of her life, especially Kim O'Keefe Lucas, Orlena Guzman, and Maureen Cannon.

A visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home (5015 Lincoln Ave/Route 53, Lisle) on Tuesday, November 29 from 3 to 7PM. The funeral mass at St. Mary of Celle (1428 Wesley Ave, Berwyn) will take place on Wednesday, November 30 at 9:30AM.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
