Don advised me numerous times with regard to Bengals. Although I have never met him, I am deeply saddened by his passing. My condolences to his wife and family.

I've had the pleasure of working with Don for the past several years. He has been, without exception, the most pleasant person I've ever worked with. His upbeat and positive perspective will always be an inspiration to me. Both my fiancée and I have worked with Don, and have talked to him recently about our upcoming honeymoon in Hawaii. Don was very fond of Hawaii. When we go to Maui next month, we'll say a prayer for Don and cast a lei in the ocean. Marcie and I will miss Don. We share your loss and send our deepest condolence to his family and many friends.

I too, was a frequent visitor to a "cat chat" board, of which he also. I haven't met him either, but I will surely miss his intelligence and knowledge of the Bengal breed that he so lovingly raised. God Bless.

when Don's beloved Bengal cat Suki died of a transfusion of the wrong blood, Don made sure the entire veterinary medical community was made aware of this mistake. very few vets new about this and vet schools didn't teach it. now they do. he made it safe for all our cats.
i have a shy Bengal cat named Jitterbug. she and I both had the wonderful opportunity to meet Don and Liz. Jitterbug went right up to Don and rubbed against his leg and let him pet her. in almost 3 years i have had her (since she was a kitten) there has been only one other person she did that to the first time she met them--me.
Don is with Suki, now. what a reunion that must have been. good bye my good friend. i'm so glad we both got a chance to meet you. i will never forget you, and neither will JB.

My husband and I only met Don once, but were disarmed by his kindness, and the way that he put us immediately at ease in his presence. We went to his house to buy a kitten and ended up staying for hours talking about anything and everything. Every time we look at our kittens we will remember the gentle man who raised them so lovingly.

Hi -- I never had the opportunity to meet Don or any of the family, however I feel like a member of my family has passed. You see, I am a member of the Bengals-L list online. I know he was a special person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. If he is as unique as Bengals, he was very special indeed.
