Donald P. Lupescu of Westchester, formerly of Darien, age 70. Beloved husband of Eleanor nee Wolowicz; loving father of Michael (Sallie) and Mark (Valya); proud grandfather of Sarah, Matthew, Maya, Liam and Lana; dear brother of Carolyn (Jim) Pecka, Brian (Carolyn), Norman (Cindy) and the late Arthur. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester (2 blks West of Mannheim Rd.) on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 3 to 8pm. Funeral Monday 9:30am from the funeral home to Divine Providence Church for 10am Mass. Interment private. Memorials to the charity of your choice appreciated. For further info 708-F-U-N-E-R-A-L.

Dear Lupescu Family,
I worked for Don early in my career at ComEd. He was my first IT boss and he was great to work with. The fact I still remember him from the mid-1970s says a lot. His name triggered in my brain while I working with my son-in-law who is about my age when I worked for Don. I thought I would reach out but found I was too late. My sincere condolences to you all.
I remember his sense of humor and focus on getting the job done. He built a strong team and provided us with excellent support. I appreciate his patience with me as a neophyte programmer and his guiding me through the early days of computing! After working for him for two+ years, I built the rest of my career around IT. Thanks Donald!
