Donald Potter Obituary

Potter, Donald Albert Passed away peacefully in Walnut Creek, CA on July 18, 2013 at the age of 91. Don was born and raised in Indianapolis and after graduation from Notre Dame (1943), he married Marian Loughery and served out the balance of WWII in the Navy. His worked for Stewart Warner Corporation for his entire career. In 1959 the family relocated to Glencoe, IL (Sacred Heart Parish in Winnetka) to the home and parish where he and Marian would live for the next 50 years. Don is survived by Marian, his wife of over 70 years; his seven children, Don (Deborah) Potter of Moraga, CA, Mary Jo Potter of Walnut Creek, CA, Dick (Cindy) Potter of St Louis, MO, Ann Navar of Libertyville, IL, Bob (Amy) Potter of San Anselmo, CA, Mick Potter of Trabuco Canyon, CA, and Jim Potter of Rochester MN; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made to either: The Alzheimer's Association (Alz.org), or Holy Cross Family Ministries (hcfm.org), 518 Washington Street, North Easton, MA 02356-1200.
