Edward lived a long, full life. I remember the joy the birth of Jim brought to him and Mary Ann and send my sympathy to Jim and his family. Our fathers were cousins who grew up in the same two-story house on Belden Ave. Many old happy memories there when I was a child.

SHARING A MEMORY
Eddie went to live with Uncle Ed Gressens and Aunt Clara Skibbe as he was only 8 years old when his mom Margaret Skibbe died and only 11 when his father Edward died. They lived up stairs from my grandma Minna and grandpa William Luessow and we would see Eddie often when we were visiting.
I was 7 years old when Eddie had their marriage reception at my father and mothers house (John Brandt & Eleanor Luessow). I remember banging on a pot with a spoon with all the children and Eddie and Mary Anne thru pennies and nickels our way. Eddie with his Navy uniform was our hero.
