Edward J. Reines Jr., C.P.D. retired, beloved husband of Marilyn Rizzato Reines; loving father of Todd and Brett Reines; stepfather of Nickalos (Juliane) Rizzato; proud grandfather of Nickalos, Veronica and Vivian Rizzato; former husband of Carol Orloff Reines; dear son of the late Catherine, nee Chambers, and the late Edward J. Reines Sr.; fond brother of Mary Catherine (Howard) Kilroy; uncle of Toni LaMorta. Retired Chicago Police Officer, 18th District. Member Chicago Police Dept. Council Knights of Columbus. Active member Fraternal Order of Police, Chicago Lodge #7. Served as member of Merchandise Committee and former Chairman of Trustees. Visitation Wednesday from 2 until 9 p.m. at The M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago. Funeral Thursday 10:30 a.m. prayers at the funeral home, to Saint John Brebeuf Church, Harlem Avenue and Main Street, Niles. Mass 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Taylor Robert Eshoo Fund, 6814 W. Ardmore, Chicago, IL 60631 appreciated. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Marilyn, I can not tell you how import Ed was to all Police officers in Chicago. He was fighter for ALL police officers and he will be terribly missed by all. He was a special friend on Michigan Ave. God has him now and the joy in that is he is at peace.

OUr prayers are with Eddie's family today. Eddie retired and started coming to our lodge meetings (IL-FOP Lodge #14) on a regular basis. I enjoyed listening to his stories about his times as a Chicago Police Officer. Our condolences to the members of Lodge #7.
