Eleanor Parchem, nee Cwik, age 87, passed away on December 2, peacefully at her home in Oak Park. Beloved wife of 66 years of Leonard Parchem who preceded her in death; loving mother of Allen and his wife Georga; grandmother of Alyssa, Aaron and his wife Zuzanna. Eleanor was born in Chicago on May 3, 1921, and grew up as part of a large, loving Polish family. She married Leonard Parchem on August 31, 1940. After the war, Eleanor and Leonard made their home in Chicago, and later Arlington Heights. Eleanor ended her working career as an Assistant Vice President at Arlington Heights Federal Savings and Loan. After retirement, Leonard and Eleanor traveled and made their home in both Bensenville and Oak Park. Besides her son and his family, Eleanor is survived by one sister-in-law; and many loving nephews and nieces. The family is honoring Eleanor's wishes to contribute to medical science by donating her body through the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.
