Esther Messina, nee Volpe, age 87, beloved wife of the late John Messina; devoted mother of Sharon (George) Vrba; proud grandmother of Brian (Melissa) Vrba and Michelle (Shaun) Gustafson; adored great-grandmother of Nolan, Carson, Eliza and Josephine; loving sister of Anthony (Liz), the late Joseph (the late Ann), Frank
(Stella), Victor (Wanda) and Lawrence (the late Rosemary) Volpe; cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 10:15 a.m. from The Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, to Our Lady of the Woods Church. Mass 11 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
