Of all of the professors I had at Kellogg, Gene Lerner was the my favorite. His wit and intelligence were unsurpassed! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

I owe much to Professor Lerner. When I came to NU GSM, he was one of my first professors.

I never considered a career or concentration in Finance - too dry and boring.

Gene Lerner was not dry or boring. He really connected with students. He was much more of a teacher than a researcher - rare for the Graduate School of Management.

He will always be remembered and memories treasured.

I owe a special debt of gratitude to Professor Lerner.

He was one of my first professors when I came to NU GSM....Kellogg came later. I never considered a career much less a major in finance. Too dry and boring.
Dr. Lerner was not dry or boring. He had a great sense of humor and was one of the few professors who really engaged with students. More of a teacher than a researcher.

43 years as an investment banker and still going. I quote him daily...."Money now is always better than money later."

I have such fond memories of my grandmother, Phyllis, and her beloved friend, Gene. I cherish the one memory when he came to our house in New Jersey to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot. His stories and laughter had such an impact on me and my sisters. We will forever hold him in high esteem and close to our hearts.
