Eugene Lisowski, 96, passed away December 23, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn nee Fruzynski. Loving father of Eugenia (Dennis) Courtney, Robert (Elizabeth) Lisowski, Constance (Robert) Blecha. Beloved grandfather of Joseph (Chrissie), Andrew (Sherri) Michael (Matt), Matthew (Jenaya), Scott (Lori), Kimberly (Junior), the late Brett. Great grandfather of 7. Dear brother of the late Estelle, John, Edward, Berniece, Thaddeus. Fond uncle of many. Proud First Lieutenant in the Army Air Force during World War II. Longtime member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 2 and a retired elevator inspector for the City of Chicago. Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., then proceed to St. Eugene Church, Chicago, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Info: 708-456-8300

The passing of Eugene, "Uncle Gene" my Godfather, has mixed so many happy memories with a longing for those days to be here again.
Doing Chicago Loop office repairs provided me a certain connection as nearly every elevator I got in had a certificate reassuring me that it was "Inspected by Eugene Lisowski"
