Fleur Elise Crooks, née Woodard. Beloved wife of the late Kendal A. Crooks; loving mother of Patricia (Dave) Wallner, Jacqueline (Frank) Murnane, Catherine (Dave) Vetta, the late Kendal "Chip" Crooks, Jr., Carolyn (John) Coffman; Cherished grandmother of Courtney, Mackenzie and Joey Murnane, Sara, Anne Marie and Kelsey Vetta, Kristin and the late Brian Crooks, Laura and Clare Coffman, Jeff and Kim Wallner; Great Grandmother "Gigi" of Patrick, Jack, Kevin, Aidan, Caileigh, Ava Fleur, Capri,Noah, David, Johnny, Kate, Kendall, Michaela, Alyssa Fleur and JT; dear sister of Ginger (the late Roger) Bryan, Rev. Whitson B. (Nancy) Woodard, Linda (the late Larry) Marryott; fond aunt of many nieces, nephews and countless dear friends.

First and foremost, having converted to Catholicism upon her marriage, Fleur embraced her Faith with joy and dedication which she demonstrated throughout her life. As a member of St. Raymond Church since 1955, she was actively involved in countless parish ministries; PTA, Choir, Eucharistic Minister, Bereavement Committee to name just a few. For many years she was a Minister of Care through Northwest Community Hospital. In later years, she joined and was very active in The Grandmother's Prayer Group. She had a passion for learning; was an avid reader; and fulfilled a life-long dream of earning an Associate Degree in Literature from Harper Junior College at age 67.She was a volunteer for the local library literacy program. Her thirst for knowledge expanded into a desire to see the world, and her travels included adventures throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and China; highlighted by her attendance at the Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany. Her family will always remember her sweet and friendly disposition; her truly generous spirit; her dedication to family and friends; her passion for life!

Visitation Wednesday January 25, 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd. (Rt. 83) & Lincoln St., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Raymond de Penafort Church, 301 S. I-Oka Ave., Mt.
