Frank Martinetti, who with his wife Lucille, operated a popular restaurant on Rte. 14 in Crystal Lake, IL from 1946 through their retirement in 1976. From a series of grocery stores and restaurants in Rockford, his business grew, culminating in the award winning MARTINETTI'S, which rose from total destruction by fire, in 1957. The restaurant seated 500, the lounge featured a Theatre Pipe Organ, and a 24 hour coffee shop headquartered 100 motel rooms, The highly respected owners were ever present. Frank was born at home in Mark, IL in 1909, and died, of natural causes, at home in Crystal Lake, June 24, 2007. Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Collins, and two grandchildren, Aaron and Rachel Collins. Private services have already been held.
