Frank Zika Obituary
Frank J. Zika, age 71, died peacefully at home on July 25, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; sisters Arlene (Jerry) Formanski, Diane (Bob) Mitchell and Barbara (Sam) Hascek; and many loving family members. A Vietnam veteran (1965-66), Frank was a life-long member of the NRA, ASSRA, and the Aurora and Wheaton Sportsman Clubs; earned a Masters Degree from Northern Illinois University; had 5 patents in industrial tooling, and worked as a mechanical engineer and on the Apache Helicopter. Frank was instrumental in annexing his community into the city of Countryside. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 8pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral service 10am, Monday at the funeral home. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Please omit flowers. I still can't believe that you've been gone for 11 years. I wish you were able to get to know your grandniece Tatiana, and grandnephews Cormac and Gunner. They all could use your advice and guidance that you gave all of kids growing up.

A year has passed since Frank died is miss him very much. He was a loving brother. I know that he and our nephew JR are keeping everyone in Heaven on their toes.

My Dearest Elaine, I am so very sorry for your loss, The big space in your heart will take time to heal because you lost your best friend, your husband and your loving partner! I will be here anytime you feel the need to talk, to cry, to share - anytime you need someone to listen! Know that you were the best Care Taker, you took care of Frank with such love and compassion!
