I just heard of Gary's death late last night. My prayers go out to his family. I was a schoolmate with Gary for two years in Lincoln IL. Gary was fun to be with and always tried to help people. I'm not surprised to see he was successful and charitable. He will be missed by many.

I'm extremely saddened to hear of Gary's passing and my condolences go out to his children and extended family. As a classmate of his in our Freshmen year, I have many wonderful memories of Gary. His smile and humor was unique. He was one of a kind guy and I'll miss him.

He was a wonderful man, I didn't know him well, but he went above and beyond helping me with my goddaughter 's catered engagement party. Angele Amato loved him deeply. He will be sadly missed. From the first day KP introduced me to The DiTomassi Family, I knew I had found my second home. So many memories, including watching Sylvia and gang rolling her famous homemade tortellini's, and sitting down with you and your whole family to share a big homemade Italian meal….One of many moments in which you and your family sprinkled stardust on my life.
You were like a brother to me growing up and I always looked forward to your great hugs. What a shining star you were, whose brightness emanated to anyone who had the honor of being around you. Your wit, patience, kindness, passion, love, generosity, and friendly, approachable demeanor touched so many lives. You left an indelible impression on many people Gary, and a day will not go by that all your friends and family will miss you.
