George Henry Decker, age 81, of Lisle, Navy Veteran WWII, beloved husband of Barbara, nee Belgrave; loving father of Kathleen (Mark) Teune, John (Mary) Decker, Sandra (Steven) King and Deborah (Michael) Gamble; devoted grandfather of Traci (Justin) Russell, Joshua Teune, Amanda Decker, Kelsey and Audrey Gamble; fond brother of Theresa (the late Mark) Van Beveren, preceded by Herman (Grace), Melvin (Jeanette) Decker, Ann (the late John) Van Byssum, Jean (the late Edward) Rozema, Margaret (the late Herman) Van Stedum; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (3 blks S. of Roosevelt), Lombard. Funeral Thursday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Dear Decker Family: I am shocked and grief stricken over the sudden loss of Mr. Decker. He was a person who devoted his life to being a wonderul family man and devoted Christian who lived his Faith. Mr. Decker was always a wonderful influence in my life. This is a very sad time for me thinking of all the wonderful memories in Cicero.

Barbara our Deepest Sympathy to you and your family. My parents are just devastated. My dad has known George since 1955. We had many a good times in the old station wagon at Sand Lake. George will always be in good thoughts and memories. It's so hard to understand the loss of someone who meant so much to you and was such a cherished companion...
