George Fountalas, 88, Born in Nestani, Greece; Beloved husband of Florica (nee Olaru) and the late Georgia (nee Mellinikos); Devoted father of Vivian Fountalas (Fiancee, Paxton Spresser), Jimmy Fountalas, and Voula (Steven) Nowicki; Cherished grandfather of Jacob and Sophia; Loving son of the late Dimitrios and Paraskevi (nee Tousis) Fountalas; Dearest brother of the late Nikki, Efrosini, Panagioti, Demo, Panagiota, Eleni, Demetra, and Chrysanthi; Dear brother-in-law of Voula (Dionisios) Kapandi; Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews in USA and Greece. George was a member of the Central Society of Tsipianiton Association and GARA (Greek American Restaurant Association). Visitation, Monday, July 11, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL. Relatives and friends are requested to please meet Tuesday morning 10:15 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church 2701 N. Sheffield Ave. Chicago, IL. for 10:30 a.m. Funeral service.
