I'm glad to be reminded by these annual notices of my old IBM colleague and friend, George Heigho. He was a good, wise man.

When legacy.com´s reminder to remember George arrived in my inbox, I was sitting in a relative´s house not many mikes south of where I knew George at IBM 45 years ago, and the reminder reminded me that I had been thinking of George as we drove here from the San Francisco International Airport and passed through the section of Hwy 101 a mile or so east of Santa Teresa Laboratory. Thoughtful, kindly George Heigho had that effect on people, to awaken them to harken to a special human being. I am grateful to have known him for a short time on Earth and grateful to his family for describing in the obituary some of his loving contributions to others.

Hi, George! May I be joining you soon? (I turned 77 in January.) Hi, dear Anne Louise! A moments pause to remember life in San Jose and at IBM about 40 years ago....

I had the privilege of working with George as my editor and editing mentor at IBM (DB2 writing department). I enjoyed his wit and wisdom. Please accept my sincere condolences on his passing.
