George Weil Obituary

George L. Weil Jr., 72, of Russell, IL, formerly of Highland Park, IL. Passed away June 4, 2001 at North Shore Terrace Nursing Home. He was born May 30, 1929 in Seattle, WA. Was member of the 1st Assembly of God in Kenosha, WI. He retired in 1988 as a meat market Manager for Jewels food stores after 41 years of employment. He loved golf, fishing, traveling and had done volunteer work at the Kenosha County Correctional Center and was active in Gideons International. He served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict in Germany. He is survived by his wife Mary; six children George Thomas Weil of Highland Park, IL., Daniel (Dori) Weil of Redondo Beach, CA., David (Susie) Weil of Streamwood, IL., Larry (Coriena) Weil of Grayslake, Lisa Weil of Mettawa, IL., Shiela (Bob) Vleck of Grayslake; four stepchildren Rhonda (David) Stewart of Delray Beach, FL.; Philip Pierson of Kenosha, WI., Thomas (Meganne) Pierson of Pleasant Prairie, WI., Lana (Jeff) Stanich of Kenosha, WI.; 19 grandchildren; one sister Jackie (Robert) Moran of Hollister, MO.; preceded by his first wife Margaret, 1988; one son John, 1965, one daughter Sharon, 1966; as well as his parents Dr. George Weil Sr. and Eloise Weil. Visitation Thursday, June 7, 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. At 1st Assembly of God, 10700 75th St., Kenosha, WI. Officiating Rev. Dan Remus. Interment private. Memorials to Gideons International or Foreign Mission in c/o 1st Assembly of God. Arrangements by Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee, 847-336-0127.
