I was so shock to hear of her passing. We were water buddies at 8am and she was amazing to go every single day. We chatted much and teased each because our birthdays were in the same month.I truly loved her, she was a kind, sweet friend. She contacted me to pray for her prior to surgery, and of course I did. Dear Lou and son accept my deepest sympathy. She will be missed greatly!

I was so sorry to come upon Georgene's notice in the newspaper. I remember Georgene as such a sweet woman who was so much fun to be with. Those were good times we enjoyed together, especially your beautiful wedding.
Thinking and praying for you and your family during this sad time.

My sincerest sympathies to Lou and John, as well as Patty and family. I know she deeply loved and cared for you, and so many others. Cousin Georgene did not fall far from the tree of her parents, Michael and Violet Somin, who were the sweetest people I've ever known. My fondest memory was rooming with her during our families' pilgrimage to Yugoslavia in 1986. One couldn't also help but admire her precise way of speaking and gorgeous penmanship... just what you'd expect for a grade school teacher! You will be missed Georgene!

Lou & John, we will miss Georgene greatly! It will never be the same swimming at the Lago Vista pool. She was there most days and we looked forward to sharing ideas, stories, or whatever else came into our minds.
She was always a joy to chat with & will be remembered for her kind heart!
We are truly sorry for your great loss!

You will be missed a whole bunch. I always enjoyed our crazy phone conversations just talking about any and all subjects. Also our occasional luncheons. We will always try to help Lou and John with whatever they need. We are here for them. Rest In Peace and you will always be remembered in our prayers and memories.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Georgene for many years. I was welcomed into the family as John´s official babysitter. Even after the job of babysitting was over, we kept in touch and I always felt part of the family. Not long ago Georgene and I talked about Door County, a place she knew well. She gave me great advice for a future trip. I´m glad we had a chance to meet for lunch a while back and only wish we could have done it more often. Georgene will sorely be missed. All my love to Lou and John.
