Gerald was a classmate of mine at St. Patrick H.S. in Chicago, Illinois. We graduated in 1966. Gerald did well academically at St. Patrick's and was a member of the St. Patrick's Chess Club and also the Scholarship Club. The attached photo is Gerald's Senior Portrait from the 1966 St. Patrick H.S. Yearbook – "The Shamrock". I was sorry to hear that Gerald passed away and I send my condolences to his family. He will be missed by all his friends at St. Pat's.

So sorry for your loss, and my condolences to your whole family. Jerry's obituary was written with so much care and was truly who he was. I remember when visiting you, Jerry shared his love of travel with me, and recommended a European river cruise that he and Elizabeth were going to take. Well, we went on it last fall, and it was the trip of a lifetime! My husband and I are thankful he shared that with me that day. Elizabeth, please take good care of yourself, and remember I'm here for you. Love, Meg

A few years back I worked with Jerry at Steeple Chase Golf Course and we became friends. He was a good man and always had time to show me how things worked or how and why many of the jobs which we did were part of the daily routine. After leaving Steeple Chase I would frequently see him on the course and we always had time to stop and talk about his travels and his family. He took pride in all that he did and looked forward to his next adventures. We lost a great man and a good friend. My condolences to Jerry's wife and family and prayers of strength during this time of loss.

As neighbors and friends of Jerry and his family for over 25 years, we will miss his big smiles and great conversation. Jerry's cooking and baking are legendary, and he was always so generous in sharing his creations with us. His special Cosmopolitan recipe will be enjoyed for many years to come! We'll miss his stories and laughter very much, but we'll always remember him with lots of warmth and love. God bless you, Jerry.

I remember Jerry with great fondness. We went to St. James school together and in fact lived on the same block (Mango Avenue) only a few doors away from each other. When I had leg surgery in 8th grade his lovely Mother let me ride with the children to school so I wouldnt have to walk the eight blocks, until I was able to.
My name from home is Annette Geisler and want to wish my deepest sympathy to the family. At a later date I will surely come to a memorial for this wonderful man. Please post in the Daily Herald where I read the obit. Thank you.
