I am sorry I did not see this before today. I am sorry for your loss. Jerry and Jean were posslibly the most gentle-natured folks I have had the fortune to know. This passing is a blow to all of us whom they have touched. My sincere hopes that the unity of family gives you strength at this time and that solace will replace sorrow before long.

So many memories! He was definitely the best uncle anyone could ask for. Kind, silly, someone you could look up to. I will always remember his smile and when I would visit we would always sit down and have a snack, we could sit there quietly and watch TV or we could have a really good conversation, either way he jist made me feel calm and loved. So happy he is back with Auntie Jeanie, they are a forever couple. My dear cousins, I know they are both so proud of you all, and they made amazing people! I love you guys and you are all in my prayers during this difficult time.

Love,
Little Lorie

My memories of Mr. Pitzen are that of a gentle, loving, accepting father, patient and kind, grateful to be surrounded by his beautiful family. As a child, it was a wonderful gift to be surrounded by the loving, caring, joyful friends of our parents whose children became our friends also. Though our time together may have been brief, especially for me as the youngest of 4, the sweetness of these friendships still linger in our hearts.

May the love of Christ comfort each of you during this time of separation and may the joy of a life lived well and the joy of eternity sustain you until you are together again.

Christ is "the gate for the sheep". (John 10:7) May we all put our complete trust in Him so that we can once again be together in the sweetness of His fellowship. God bless each of you. ~ Carol (King)

Worked with Jerry on many occasions when he worked at Metra. He was a great guy and really knew his stuff. He will be building a railroad in heaven that doesn´t have derailments! God bless my friend. Bill Berry

I am so very sorry to the family for your loss. There was a time where I spent a great deal of time with the Pitzen family and they were my family too. Mr. Pitzen was always so nice and kind and practically a father figure during these years. I still remember him every Christmas and send greetings. His loss is a loss for all of us who knew him.
