Jerry and Joseph were our jewelers for over 35 years. He made both my engagement and wedding rings for both my marriages and my daughters also. Jerry made countless pieces for me over the years each of which is a treasure. Our belated condolences to the family. He was such a pleasure to know and catch up with each time we spoke. Prayers for peace and joy in the fond memories you've all shared.

Many years ago when I was dating my husband I told him that I had a jeweler in Chicago that could make beautiful jewelry. I was talking about Joe, Jerrys father. We go back at least 40 years. A family I have known for a lifetime brought me downtown to visit Joe and buy Gold Chains. I was so lucky and happy to find someone who could be my personal shopper and creator. I think me having a jeweler scared my husband trying to find the perfect gift for me. As years passed and Jerry took over the business my husband wanted Jerry to create a fugeese fake ring to he could ask me to marry him and not risk me not liking the engagement ring. Jerry obliged my husband Mike. It was a perfect surprise for me. Jerry then made my perfect beautiful wedding ring. So I have 2 and love them both.
It was always such a joy for me to see Joe and Jerry on my visits to Chicago.
They always cleaned up my rings, resizing many and made them look brand new. I will miss them both and hope when you have a memorial service that you will invite me because I would like to meet the rest of the family. I can still hear Jerrys famous Hello as I call his phone number which I memorized. What a great guy.
He will be missed.
Sara you said Jerry has someone to recommend for future work. Please send me that information as well as the date and time for the memorial service. My sincere thanks. Hope you got the phone I sent yesterday.
