I just came across the announcement for Miss Stack's passing. I am so sorry to hear of a wonderful woman's passing. She was my third grade teacher, and one of the best teacher's I've ever had, which includes my high school, college and post-graduate years. She not only taught me curriculum lessons that I still remember to this day, but she taught me life lessons in respect and pride. I am sure you carry with you special memories that will help to ease the pain. I will carry my memories and lessons always.

I taught with Gerry at Albert Einstein School in Des Plaines. She taught 3rd grade and I taught 2nd grade. Her classroom was right next to mine and we always conversed and shared some of our frustrations and funny stories regarding our students.I remember her great sense of humor and that she ran a tight ship in her classroom. I also have a memory of having gone to her parents house for some event, but it is not clear. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May Gerry rest in peace. Sincerely,
