Gib, we miss you! Always pleasant thoughts, especially when we see Dasha and of course Mary as such a loving mother. You left great memories, Gib. Just have to keep reminding myself that we live on earth to be born into eternal life.

I went to Mt. Carmel with Gibbie. What a wonderful guy who was always happy and always smiling wide. He was the kid of guy you wanted to be around and hang out with. He was a great athlete packed in a small package.
I am so sorry I didn't reconnect with him more once he was back in Chicago. He will always have a place in my heart.

Gibson was doing a follow up on an appraisal I just had done as I needed some further information. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Gibson. I only met him once as he came to do an appraisal for our home. He was very professional and did a great job, but more than that, he appeared to be just such a nice pleasant genuine happy man. We talked for a bit as he was doing his appraisal and you could tell what a family man he was....I told him any other appraisals I need for further properties he was my guy! I'm glad our paths crossed.
May he rest in peace and my prayers to his family and friends,
Patti

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
On behalf of my brother John, Jim and my sister Maureen our most heartfelt prayers, thoughts and condolences to the Fagan family.

Gib was a terrific guy in every way. Your world lit up whenever you saw him. He was a great friend to my brother Kevin. We should all try to be like Gib. My prayers and condolences to his family and his football fields filled with his many friends.

Words will never be able to express how much you will be missed Gibby. The love of life, family and friends was so evident.
to quote Father Gavin Quinn (you were one of the good guys).
I am so sorry Mary and Dasha and all of your family and friends who had the honor of knowing and loving you.
Heaven has a new star!

Sending thoughts and prayers to Gib's family. He really was a leader of our Class at Mt. Carmel, and a pretty cool guy . Always a class act.

Though I did not know Gibby for a long period of time, I felt as if I had known him since childhood. He had that way about him. Fun to be around, great storyteller, typical Irish lad from the Southside. I am very sorry for everyone's loss, especially Mary and Dasha. My deepest condolences.

Gibby and I were Mount Carmel HS classmates. Gib was the star no doubt - he was our MC high school football team captain, homecoming king, student council president, class president... Gib had that star quality about him and made you feel you were the most important person in the room when he spoke to you. He was the kind of guy you met once in a lifetime: extroverted, magnanimous, fearless, charismatic, with a self-deprecating humor, a sharp wit and a quick mind. We became friends in high school, and I am most grateful for that friendship.
I missed getting in touch with Gib over the years, to my great regret; I lived in LA during some of the time he lived in San Diego; completely unaware he was literally just down the coast. I missed him again just a few years ago, moving to New England just before Gibby reached out to re-establish old ties. We stayed in touch thru correspondence. We both felt we would see each other again at a class reunion or over the holidays. He often referred to his young princess and I could feel his pride.
He was an amazing man, whom I will greatly miss. My deepest condolences to Mary and Dasha. I am very sorry for your loss.

I first met Gib as a freshman at Mt. Carmel HS, as our lockers and classroom seats were close due to our last names being close in alphabetical order. We quickly became friends, and that friendship would last for 44 years. Gib always had joy and energy surrounding him. We worked in a hot dog stand together on the Chicago museum campus for our chemistry teacher over the summers (still my favorite job that I've ever had). In 1982 Gib asked me if I wanted to drive out west with him, as he was going for a few weeks "visit". I went along for this adventure, flying back home from Vegas 10 days later. Gib returned to Chicago 24 YEARS later. He was indeed smarter than me.
I am so lucky that Gib was a part of my life. My deepest condolences to Mary and Dasha. Gib just lit up whenever he talked about you. I'm so sorry for your loss.
